Shichi-Go-San in Saitama

I recently made a long drive out to Hikawa Shrine in Saitama to do another Shichi-Go-San shoot. There wasn't much time to be set aside for taking photos, so I kept everything very simple to ensure everything moved quickly along.

I picked out a few locations before the shoot and determined which lens would work best for each. Since the shrine was reasonably busy and filled with countless visitors at the time, I choose to not use any wide angle lenses to avoid having other people in the shots. So I did the shoot switching between only two lenses, a 50mm and an 85mm.

The lighting was also kept as simple as possible.  It was all done with one small flash and a basic shoot-through umbrella.

All in all, nothing too complicated.

Below are a few of the shots I came away with.
